Solid Phase Synthesis

Peptides can be obtained through biosynthesis (extracted from bacterial cultures such as Polymyxa or Pseudomonas aeruginosa) or chemical synthesis, which is categorized into:

• Liquid-phase peptide synthesis (LPPS): Ideal for short peptide production

• Solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS): Suitable for long-chain, cyclic, and complex peptides

SPPS is further classified into two main approaches:

• Boc-based synthesis

• Fmoc-based synthesis

By using a solid support, SPPS enables stepwise amino acid condensation, offering key advantages such as simplified purification, shorter synthesis cycles, and automation compatibility.

Our SPPS resins consist of high-quality polymeric beads functionalized with reactive groups (eg, amine or hydroxyl groups) that facilitate peptide chain elongation step by step.
